Many times people have suggested I make a page with a marble background and the names of the victims of the bombing. They admire my site but they can't see how spreading healthy happiness and working to decrease unhappiness in our world is a memorial to those we lost. But the way I see it, the perpetrators spread hatred, fear, helplessness and hopelessness. Therefore to me, the only logical thing we can do is work to spread love, courage, faith and helpfulness. You don't defeat evil actions of the past with evil acts in the future.
I'm an Okie and watching the aftermath of the bombing on tv left a lasting belief that carving names in marble is not the only way to honor those we lost.
Why? Because we didn't just lose names. We lost hugs, kisses, straight A report cards, random acts of kindness and miles of Oklahoma smiles.
The rule I want everyone to consider is this:
Whenever someone we love and/or admire dies, we don't let them die for nothing and we don't let their deaths serve the causes of the perpetrators/evil/ignorance more than the causes of God/good/wisdom. Instead we each give more of our own best work, our own best way, to improve the health of our world and fill in some of the void.
So here are the names on marble. As you read them please remember the hugs, kisses, helping hands, weddings, graduations and virtually miles.... of Oklahoma smiles. And please ask yourself this question: What will I gladly give our world today to honor those we loved and lost? Even a few more smiles to those that need them is better than nothing. I have to believe that at the very least timmy mcveigh missed out on more than a few desperately needed smiles and that the people listed below and all those of us that cared about them paid the price for that.

Honor If they could only ask you
one question;
Which one do you think they'd ask?
1. How many tears did you shed over me?
2. How many flowers did you bring for me?
3. What are you doing for your world today
to honor our lives and what we stood for?
