Mother's day hasn't been easy for me since I lost mine in 1990. My friend Mitchell Rooks wrote most of this. I made a few changes. It's still not exactly as I'd like it.
Funny. If my mother were alive and we showed it to her, she'd know exactly how to rewrite it so it would be perfect. She was a kaliedescope of wisdom, humor, forgiveness, generosity and faults. I sure do miss her. If your Mama is still alive.... start now forgiving her often and givin' her the little things she likes that you're not too thrilled with. I'll never quit feeling guilty over not singing gospel songs for her more. She really loved that and it wouldn't have hurt me a bit.
