Not very profound? Maybe not, but then again, God gave us a great emotional pain killer and most don't realize that's what it is. Fun.
Having fun takes your focus off of your emotional pain and when you don't focus on it, it can't hurt as much. Usually doesn't hurt at all while you're having fun. Ever take a broken heart for a roller coaster ride? Ever cover up in a pile of puppies while suffering the empty nest syndrome? Most haven't. Most of us tend to say, "but I'm too depressed to have fun." All that means is you've never taken a dose of fun to ease the pain before. Next time.... do. Fun is no accident. It is a gift. Take it. It's only just fun when you're feeling good. When you're down, fun is far more.... it's actually medicinal.
