I don't know about you but since I had family (my sister Rita 1942 - 1993) and still have friends and heros that are gay, the Matthew Shepard tragedy hit mighty close to home for me.
Nothing I can do will totally prevent gay bashing. But I had to ask myself what truth I could bring forth today that might just "diminish" gay bashing. I made a decision to speak up. I pray you will too. I don't hate gay bashers. I just want them to know the rest of us know why they hit gay people. And I want them to stop. That's all. Please. Stop the silence. What can you say to diminish hate in your world today? Not to increase it by hating back, but to really diminish it?
I created this wallpaper to honor the life of
Matthew Shepard.
He had to die, but if we all speak up now....
It doesn't have to be for nothing.
He was worth so much more than that.
