I talked with a girl once who was very upset that her fiance wanted to break up with her for good. It was all because she hated her job.
She was in tears telling me about it. The situation seemed hopeless. How could he be so crazy? (He was a fireman and was in LOVE with his job. He couldn't imagine them being happy for a lifetime if she was foolish enough to stay in a job she hated.) "As if people can just go out and get jobs they love," she said with a short, brittle laugh. To make a long story short we found her a job she really loved within two weeks and later they were married.
Life is for the living. It is not just for existing. If you want to change it you MUST make new decisions and follow through. Happiness is a choice, a decision, an infinite number of actions taken with joy.
