I'm angry with Sony. I wish I could sue the company for failing to connect these dots and advertising them appropriately. There is no good reason why a fluffy woman in Oklahoma has to write the ad for them and share it free. And I wouldn't.... if it wasn't so important. But to utilize my anger correctly, Sony and I both have to win. That's important too.
Last week, I saw Wynonna Judd overwhelmed to tears on the Oprah show. The thought of working out an hour a day, taking that much more time away from her family, to do something so boring and difficult, and do it regularly forEVER was almost devastating. Oprah commiserated. She said she knew, she still hated working out regularly too. It's things like this that get me talking to the TV. I'm almost yelling with frustration, "eyetoy, eyetoy, EYETOY! Try it!" How can it be they haven't heard of eyetoy yet?

The twelve games in Eyetoy's first batch are almost criminally addictive. How addictive? I play it three or four sessions a day. Nightly, I go to bed aching all over. As I write this, the year is 2004 and I'm 50 years old. I don't ache from age. I ache from playing too much every day. I worked off 11 pounds in the month of January. More importantly, I ENJOYED working it off and that's rare for anyone overweight.
My mother and oldest sister both died from complications to the original weight loss surgery - intestinal bypass surgery. There are better surgeries now, but with a mortality rate of one death in every two hundred surgeries, it's still gastric bypass roulette. Trust me, you don't risk your life like that unless you feel like you've tried everything and nothing worked. If someone you love is considering weight loss surgery roulette, please, suggest they at least try out playstation two's eyetoy. Remind them that dying to get healthy is oxymoronic.
