No matter what you want to be better at you can improve it pretty easily by enjoying it more. Want to be a better parent? Enjoy your children more. Want to be a better employee? Enjoy your work more. Want to make better grades? Enjoy learning more. Want to be a better blind date? Enjoy the date more. Want to be better at tennis, basketball, golf? Enjoy the game more. Want to be a better child? Enjoy your parents more. Want to make more sales? Enjoy your customers more.
Certainly there are exceptions to every rule, but I can't remember any to this one off hand. Make a list of any four or five things you want to be better at, write after each one... "enjoy it more." Then for the next week or so, actually follow through. Make it a point to enjoy them more. See for yourself. Works like a charm.
