What would that painting look like if God hadn't painted the masterpiece we call our world, first?
Dear atheist and agnostic friends, please, look over me being smitten with our creator. (Having been atheist and agnostic at various times in my past, I know how irritating those of us who adore the creator can be.) I'm enraptured by spring! Creation brings tears to my eyes. Funny, I decided to love God through selfish intention. But God's gifts are too beautiful, they made me fall in love sincerely in spite of myself. Look around, how can you NOT love the extraordinary artist that created all of this? How can you NOT love an artist this great that is so generous he invites you to participate in it's creation? We're actually rewarded in life for creativity. How does one keep from being impressed breathless? I can't imagine.
My friend Bill made a very good point when he said that the reference "impressed breathless" would cause readers to stumble. It's true. And I like it that way. I like for you to get to read things that give you the opportunity to stop and think and then see.
