My Favorite Beauty Tips
In thirty years of trying on practically every beauty tip that's come down the pike, my very favorite, the one that works the very best on everyone is something I found in a Reader's Digest some years ago.
In studies about what people find beautiful, the answer is the same whether the viewer is male, female, young, old, rich, poor, no matter what their culture or what country they're from.... what people find beautiful is balance. The more perfectly the right side of your face matches the left side, the more people think you're beautiful. Two good examples of this principle even in men, are Keanu Reeves and Denzel Washington.
So when you apply your make-up, focus most of all on creating balance..... making the right side of your face look more like the left side. Whether your personal preference in make-up is light, heavy or in between, keeping your focus on balance will still be the most effective way to enhance your beauty where even you can see the improvement every time. The more perfectly each side of your face matches, the more people from every culture, continent and age group will define you as "beautiful."
Make sure your eyebrows are the same length, darken the hollow of one cheek more than the other so they match and/or, fill in that short lipline. This simple adjustment in your focus when you apply your makeup will make a world of difference. Try it on today and see for yourself. I think you're going to love it.
The most effective factual adjustment: Put this on a stickie note on your bathroom mirror..... "You have always been prettier than you've ever admitted." Every time you read it, remember this: it's true.
