THIS WEEK’S FREE DESKTOP WALLPAPER © 1999 lollie.com LIVE A LITTLE? LIVE TO THE MAX! You weren't created to live a little. ! LIVE TO THE MAX ! Picture: white water rafting First lets get real clear on what this week’s free desktop wallpaper isn't about. It isn't about getting drunk. That's not life and that's not living. That's stupidity in a bottle and you would be amazed how many people do not realize that hangovers and throwing up from drinking are the body's way of saying, "Stop! You're damaging the system!" Damaging my life support system is not "living to the MAX." It isn't about taking unreasonable risks either. In the picture they're wearing lifejackets and other protective gear. Each of us has a responsibility to take reasonable actions to stay alive and healthy. I believe living to the MAX is about making sure I'm healthy enough and aware enough to appreciate everything happening around me. It's about working and playing with passion and joy. It's about walking, dancing, running, etc.... often. For some this goes without saying. But it sure didn't for me until I saw how well Christopher Reeves handles being a quadriplegic. I wondered how that was possible. I think it had to be because he was never a couch potato. He always played full out. For most of my life, if I had awakened one day a quadriplegic I'd have been thinking, "What??? All those thousands of nights I could have danced and I didn't?!? All those walks I could have taken, all the swims.... now I can't move??? EVER? Oh no, I should have........" And the thoughts that followed would have driven me insane. Just to be on the safe side...everyday of our lives let's just just say, "Today I'll dance and run and play. Today I'll live to the MAX. The clearest expression of gratitude is enjoyment and I will enjoy this day. Promise." 640x480 & 800x600 resolutions of your free desktop wallpaper can be picked up at www.lollie.com Lollie McLain is a life long resident of Oklahoma.
