I made this parfait and took this picture myself so I could share with you this delicious recipe for Valentine's day. I love it and I'm proud of it too. I'm no cook. But I came up with this and it's fabulous! Before you look below, just guess how many calories and how many grams of sugar are in it. Guessed? Okay, now look below and get a very nice surprise.
If this dessert were made from regular vanilla pudding, cherry Jell-O and cherry pie filling, it would be about 400 calories. Luckily, it isn't.
The lollie.com Sinfully Sin-free Cherry Parfait
- 4 oz. Blue Bunny splenda sweetened French Vanilla Yogurt (50 calories)
- 8 oz. nutrasweetened cherry Jell-O (20 calories)
- 2 tablespoons splenda sweetened Lucky Leaf cherry pie filling (15 calories
- 13 ounce dessert, 85 calories, fat free, 5 grams sugar (from the milk-sugar)
Compare that to slim-fast:
7 ounces, 220 calories, 3 grams fat, 35 grams sugar
I've had several friends try it out, friends who don't like anything that's artificially sweetened.... and they love it. Nutrasweetened Jell-O by itself feels a lot like eating air. But when you add the french vanilla yogurt and the cherry pie filling, it turns into the sweetest, creamiest, most satisfying dessert that's actually good for you, that you've ever tasted.
I couldn't buy you all chocolates. So I wanted to share this delicious, sinfully sin-free dessert with you. A sweet valentine for a sweetie. Happy Valentine's day! Enjoy!
